Dr. Pandey attended medical school in New Delhi, India, and was residency trained in Internal Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She became Board Certified in that specialty in 1984 and practiced for 10 years in the Boston area. She joined the clinic in 1993 and became the Medical Director in 1998. She is the past president of the International Society of Travel Medicine ISTM) and is site director for the GeoSentinel project, an international cooperative project to monitor emerging diseases through research of travel related illnesses. She has worked one season as a Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA) volunteer doctor in the Everest Region and currently serves on the medical board of the HRA.
