Dr. Nav Raj Bastakoti specialized in General Practice (MDGP) in 2015 from the prestigious National Academy of Medical Sciences, Kathmandu, after obtaining undergraduate medical degree from Vitebsk State Medical University in Belarus. He dedicated six years to serving in rural Nepal as a consultant General Practitioner and Clinical Coordinator. In collaboration with the Nick Simons Institute, he played a vital role in strengthening both surgical and medical services at district hospitals in Darchula and Beni. After his impactful work in rural healthcare, Dr. Bastakoti joined the Department of Emergency and General Practice at Manipal Teaching Hospital, a prominent tertiary care center in Pokhara. He served there as a Consultant MD in General Practice for four years, contributing to emergency and primary care services. Dr. Bastakoti has a strong interest in Travel Medicine and is committed to enhancing healthcare delivery through both clinical practice and community-based initiatives. He is fluent in English, Russian, Nepali, and Hindi, enabling him to communicate effectively with a diverse range of patients and colleagues.
